Dear Reader,
Thank you for being here! We share a common purpose — bringing up the next generation in the wisdom and love of God!
When my children were young, I turned the Book of Proverbs into simple games and sayings they could actually remember and enjoy. I didn’t realize then that I was following a very old tradition — Proverbs was originally written in Hebrew poetry as instruction for young people. That discovery inspired me to write modern, child-friendly poems that carry those same timeless truths in simple, accessible English.
Years later, the news of my first grandchild reignited everything. What had started at home became these books.
As an artist — I’ve taught painting and sold my work at the Charleston City Market — I had the joy of illustrating every page myself. Each image was created to draw children deeper into what God’s Word is saying. I grew up in Charleston and still call it home, and many of the illustrations were inspired by the beauty of the Lowcountry and my experience growing up in a small coastal town.
This work has always been a family affair — from the games I made for my children to the grandchild who inspired me to finally put it all on paper. I’m especially grateful for my husband’s steadfast encouragement throughout this journey.
Pouring God’s Word into the next generation is one of the greatest commitments a family, a church, or a community can make, and these books help honor that commitment.
My hope is simple: that children everywhere would grow up loving God’s Word, finding it exciting, relevant, and full of wisdom for their lives.
God Bless You,
June
